People are still the best thing out there. We are, most of us, drawn to them, we seek community. We tend to be near those like us, because we can see a connection. Sometimes that connection is clearly visible at a quick glance, others it is something hidden possibly only seen by the two people it connects. That's why even the most unlikely friendships are possible. Outsiders can't always see what could possibly connect those two people, but they see it.
The variety of it all is what makes us interesting.
That's why I like to make portraits of people. To understand a bit of the connections that people have between them is to get to know people, what they like, what they admire, what they value and what, or who, they connect to.
