Now here is a couple that came on a trip from the other side of the Atlantic ocean to Portugal so they could party it up over here!
Ryan has very Portuguese roots from around Leiria but he met Christine in the United States of America where they both live. The fact that both like Portugal so much was what made them decide to come and enjoy the warmth of our summer to have fun on their amazing wedding day!
They arrived a few days before the ceremony and we took advantage of that to go to Pia do Urso for their engagement session and that way we were able to walk around calmly and chat a bit more about their plans for the wedding day.
They chose a big landmark of the region for their ceremony, the Batalha monastery. We had the opportunity to walk around in the gardens to make some beautiful pictures at the end of the ceremony, before we moved to the reception location.
The party was lively and it happened at Quinta de Santo António do Freixo where friends and family from both sides of the Atlantic gathered. Here the conversations flowed easily between Portuguese and English as stories were exchanged and I think it is spectacular when people overcome the language barrier that way, naturally, with smiles and laughter.
There were speeches, seasoned with good jokes and happy tears. There was a lot of dancing and above all, a lot of Love!
